CJ’s staff offers 209 combined years of culinary experience. This incredible amount of talent and expertise is organized and directed by our head chef, James Auvil.
A native son of Parkersburg, James studied at the Baltimore International College Culinary School and worked with chefs in the Baltimore area for five years. He also spent time in Ireland, immersed in food culture while he worked under Certified Master Chef Peter Timmins. James returned to Parkersburg in 1995 and has been making delicious food for area residents ever since.
“Delicious! Traveling for work in Parkersburg. CJ’s Italian Kitchen was amazing! Excellent apps, yummy entrees – I had the ‘make your own pasta’ with spicy chicken and veggies in a white wine sauce. Co-worker had the blackened chicken linguini special. Service was great. All around great experience! Will definitely come back when in town again.”
“This place is great, love the setting in the woods with relaxing views. We had a wood fired oven pizza, made just the way we asked. The tomato basil soup was perfect for a rainy day. The staff is the best we have had any where around. Next time the dessert menu is going down. Cant wait to sit outside by that lovely fountain. Thanks great value for the money.”
